sacral nerves
Acronym:
The term sacral nerves refers to the 5 pairs of spinal nerves that originate from sacral segments (SPCsc) in the lower part of the spinal cord (SPC) ventral to the lumbar nerves and dorsal to the coccygeal nerves. Found in all vertebrates ( Swanson-2015 ), they are a principal component of the peripheral nervous system (PNS) ( Kahle-2003 ). Final 24 Dec 2024.
