lateral vestibulospinal tract

The term lateral vestibulospinal tract refers to a bundle of fibers that originates in the lateral vestibular nucleus of the medulla, descends ipsilaterally and terminates in lamina VII and lamina VIII of the spinal central gray. It consists of the lateral vestibulospinal tract of the medulla and the lateral vestibulospinal tract of the spinal cord ( Paxinos-2004 ).
