Acronym: 45A
The term area 45A refers to the more anterior of two parts of area 45 in the triangular part of the inferior frontal gyrus of the human and the macaque; the more posterior part is area 45B ( Petrides-2012 ). As granular prefrontal cortex, it has no equivalent in the rat ( Zilles-2012 ).
