superior temporal isocortical areas
Acronym:
The term superior temporal isocortical areas refers to three cortical areas located in the anterior half of the superior temporal gyrus between the piriform area anteriorly and the auditory cortex posteriorly in the macaque. Defined on the basis of cytomyeloarchitecture, they are, in order from anterior to posterior, area Ts1 of Pandya, area Ts2 of Pandya and area Ts3 of Pandya ( Pandya-1973 ).
