commissural stria terminalis (stc)

The term commissural stria terminalis refers to a small fiber bundle that runs along the ventral surface of the stria terminalis (stt) in the rat ( Paxinos-2009 ) and mouse ( Paxinos-2001 ). It does not appear in some atlases of the the rat ( Swanson-2004 ) and mouse ( AMBA-2004; Hof-2000 ). It is not found in the human ( Paxinos-2012 ) or macaque ( Paxinos-2009a ). Final 2 May 2025.
