sensory radiation

The term sensory radiation refers to a component of the superior thalamic radiations that contains fibers connecting the ventral lateral nucleus and the ventral posterior nucleus of the thalamus with the primary somesthetic area. It is not readily distinguished in myelin-stained cross-sections ( Crosby-1962 ).
