lamina affixa (lma)

The term lamina affixa refers to a surface feature of the floor of the body of the lateral ventricle in the human. Defined on the basis of dissection it is a narrow longitudinally oriented area bounded medially by the tenia choroidea and laterally by the thalamostriate vein and stria terminalis ( Carpenter-1983 ).
