tuberal region
The term tuberal region refers to a composite structure that represents an alternate mode of subdividing the hypothalamus. Including portions of the intermediate hypothalamic region and the posterior hypothalamic region, it consists primarily of the ventromedial nucleus of the hypothalamus, the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus, the dorsomedial nucleus of the hypothalamus, and the posterior hypothalamic area ( Carpenter-1983 ).
