striatopallidal fibers

The term striatopallidal fibers refers to a fiber pathway projecting from the striatum to the globus pallidus, both the lateral globus pallidus and the medial globus pallidus. It is not readily distinguished in myelin-stained cross-sections ( Carpenter-1991 ).
