subcallosal fasciculus The term
subcallosal fasciculus refers to a fiber pathway in the
cerebral white matter at the junction of the
corpus callosum , the

cerebral cortex and the
striatum (
Carpenter-1983 ). It is not readily distinguished in myelin-stained cross-sections.
Also known as: Stratum subcallosum, subcallosal fasciculus, Fasciculus subcallosus, superior occipitofrontal fasciculus, superior occipito-frontal fascicle, superior fronto-occipital fasciculus, superior fronto-occipital bundle, Fasciculus occipitofrontalis superior, Fasciculus occipito-frontalis superior, subcallosal bundle
