interposed nucleus of the medulla (IMO)

The term interposed nucleus of the medulla refers to a group of cells located in the medulla of the human ( Paxinos-2004 ) and of the macaque ( Paxinos-2001 ). It is found in the floor of the fourth ventricle, between the nucleus prepositus and the medial vestibular nucleus.
