noradrenergic cell groups

The term noradrenergic cell groups refers to collections of neurons in the central nervous system that have been demonstrated by histochemical fluorescence to contain the neurotransmitter norepinephrine (noradrenalin) ( Smeets-199486 ). They are named A1 cell group, A2 cell group, A4 cell group, A5 cell group, A6 cell group, A7 cell group ( Smeets-1994 ), A6sc cell group ( German-1975 ) and Acg cell group ( Felten-1983 ).
