posterior insular point (pip)

The term posterior insular point refers to a surgical landmark of the insula identified by dissection in primates. It is the site of junction of the superior limiting sulcus and the inferior limiting sulcus ( Ture-1999 ). It is not found in rodents ( NeuroNames ).
