interventricular foramen (ivf)

The term interventricular foramen refers to the narrow channel that connects the third ventricle with the lateral ventricle. Detected by dissection, it is located between the fornix (fx) and the dorsal surface of the thalamus (THL) ( Gray-1918a ). Updated 17 Aug 2024.
