The term area 28 of Mauss refers to a cortical area defined by myeloarchitecture located primarily in the entorhinal cortex of the guenon. Mauss regarded it as topologically homologous to the cytoarchitectonic area 28 of Brodmann (guenon) ( Mauss-1908 ).
