The term area 6 of Mauss refers to a subdivision of the frontal lobe of the guenon; it is defined on the basis of myeloarchitecture. Mauss regarded it as topologically homologous to the cytoarchitectonic area 6 of Brodmann (guenon) ( Mauss-1908 ).
