vomeronasal-terminal nerve complex
Acronym: vtnc
The term vomeronasal-terminal nerve complex (vtnc) refers to neural connections of accessory olfactory sensory neurons (OSNa's) in the vomeronasal organ (VNO) to the accessory olfactory bulb (AOB). It has two components, the vomeronasal nerve (vmn) and the terminal nerve (trm), which are highly intertwined through part of their course ( Wirsig-Wiechmann-2001 ).
