The term dorsal hippocampal commissure refers to a tract that joins the CA fields of left and right sides in the mouse (Paxinos-2001) and the rat ( Swanson-1998 ). Forming the roof of the third ventricle anteriorly, it accompanies the alveus posteriorly.
