striatal fundus (rodent)
The term striatal fundus (rodent) refers to a transition zone between the striatum and the substantia innominata lateral to nucleus accumbens in the rat ( Swanson-2004 ) and the mouse ( Hof-2000 ). The definition is more restricted than that of the fundus striati (primate), which includes the nucleus accumbens ( Heimer-1995 ).
