The term area 6 of Vogts refers to a subdivision of the frontal lobe of the guenon; it is defined on the basis of cytoarchitecture and myeloarchitecture. The Vogts regarded it as topologically homologous to the cytoarchitectonic area 6 of Brodmann (guenon).
