area PCop of Bonin
Acronym: PCop
The term area PCop of Bonin refers to an area of the cerebral cortex defined on the basis of cytoarchitecture in the macaque. It is the subdivision of area PC of Bonin that extends into the frontal lobe below the ventral end of the central sulcus to the anterior subcentral sulcus where it is bounded by area FCop of Bonin. It is atypical in structure and thinner than the more dorsal part of PC ( Bonin-1947 ).
