cerebellar peduncles

The term cerebellar peduncles refers to the three peduncles of the cerebellum (CBL). Defined by dissection, they are the superior cerebellar peduncle (scp), the middle cerebellar peduncle (mcp) and the inferior cerebellar peduncle (icp). They are found in the human ( Carpenter-1983 ) , macaque ( Shantha-1968, rat ( Swanson-2004 ) and mouse ( Hof-2000 ). Updated 26 Apr 2025.
