amygdalar capsule

The term amygdalar capsule refers to a layer of white matter that separates the amygdala from the endopiriform nucleus and adjacent cerebral cortex in the rat ( Swanson-1998 ) and the mouse ( Hof-2000 ). It is continuous dorsally with the external capsule.
