fimbriodentate sulcus (fds)

The term fimbriodentate sulcus refers to a shallow groove between the dentate gyrus and the fimbria in the hippocampal complex of the human ( Insausti-2012 ) and macaque ( Martin-2000 ). It does not exist in the rat ( Swanson-2004 ) or mouse ( Franklin-2008 ). Updated 1 June 2024.
