caudal part of the lateral septal nucleus

The term caudal part of the lateral septal nucleus refers to one of three divisions of the lateral septal nucleus in the rat ( Swanson-2004 ) and the mouse ( Dong-2004 ). The other two are the rostral part of the lateral septal nucleus and the ventral part of the lateral septal nucleus. The caudal part consists of a dorsal and a ventral zone each of which has several regions.
