rostral part of the lateral septal nucleus

The term rostral part of the lateral septal nucleus refers to one of three divisions of the lateral septal nucleus in the rat ( Swanson-2004 ) and the mouse ( Dong-2004 ). The other two are the caudal part of the lateral septal nucleus and the ventral part of the lateral septal nucleus. The rostral part consists of medial, ventrolateral, anddorsolateral zones each of which has several regions.
