lateral orbital area (ORBl)

The term lateral orbital area (ORBl) refers to a histologically defined subdivision of the orbital areas (rodent). It is a subdivision of polymodal association cortex in the Functional CNS Model - Rat ( Swanson-2004 ) and the mouse ( Hof-2000 ). Updated 25 Mar 2025.
