lateral inferior limiting sulcus (lils)

The term lateral inferior limiting sulcus refers to a branch of the inferior limiting sulcus that extends laterally from the insula into the inner surface of the superior temporal gyrus. It is a topological feature of the temporal lobe found in the macaque ( Mesulam-1984 ). It is not found in the human ( Ture-1999 ) or the rodent ( NeuroNames ).
